MITHILA PANTING - RAS

Mithila painting is a traditional folk form of painting in Mithilanchal, the north part of Bihar. Mithila painting represents the culture of Mithilanchal. It is an amazing folk art making with thin brush, niv, and acrylic on handmade paper. There are no such scales or templates used to measurements in this painting. people has been taken the measurement by the olden ways using fingers and hands. The art done in “kachni” style in Madhubani painting.

This piece of painting describing “Ras Leela" performs by adorable Radha and almighty Krishna. Lord Krishna dances with Radha and Gopis is a popular theme in Madhubani painting.

Ras Leela is one of the divine activities, which is played by Krishna with Radha and Gopis. This Dance is performed on the banks of Yamuna river in Vrindavan. Shri Krishna plays with his flute and Gopis are dancing and singing around him with her glory. This masterpiece shows their divine love in purest form.
